Award for Good Corporate Governance for Ohridska banka, Societe Generale Group

Ohridska banka, Societe Generale Group received a certificate for a “Company with Good Corporate Governance 2008” in the election organized by the Transparency – Zero Corruption in cooperation with the Macedonian Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce of North-West Macedonia. The award for successful corporate governance is granted in the frames of the activities for implementation of the Declaration for Zero Tolerance of the Corruption.  

Ohridska banka, Societe Generale Group is for the first time winner of the Certificate for good corporate governance and this award is recognition for the successful implementation of the corporate governance principles in the structure and business processes within Ohridska banka. The certificate was awarded on the World Day against the Corruption, 9 December 2008.

In the frames of the project for selection of a company with good corporate governance, the Election Committee of experts from the chambers of commerce, university professors and NGO representatives, defined methodology according to which companies were evaluated. The evaluation criteria took into consideration the activities of the management of the company, the treatment of the employees, the communication with the customers, the relations with the suppliers, as well as the corporate social responsibility of the company in the community and in the environment where it performs.
